NOT just any other day

when things fall in their proper places, when stars align at a perfect zenith, when missing socks are found, when the bus is not late, you know it's not just any other day.

or at least the last five days have been for me.

friday, my good friend in the philippines passed the bar (congratulations, sherwin!). then the weekend was spent with a new found friend (tsaka na ang kwento, basta i'm happy). sunday was a successful sushi dinner (with mimoy, jenny, june, ati and huong). monday was enjoying a string of good laughs in antwerp and eating the best herring for dinner (thanks isabel and bram!). tuesday was receiving an email that a good friend is unexpectedly visiting brussels with his fiancee (i'm excited na al!).

and there's still more, like finishing a monthly report (hello thesis promoter!), buying a new flower-printed white shirt for the spring (H&M means home of moi), receiving a wonderful photo of old friends from home (thanks alexie!) and getting the gayest haircut (courtesy of ate ley!). later tonight i'm out on a date. sana it works.

ah, isn't this how life should be? welcome spring time!

listening to: someday we'll know if love can move a mountain... yeheeee... (kilig!)

this is marc's version of the truth, sometime at 11:49 AM if you can't live with it, he can.

Nice blog... I had fun with the gay-o-meter. It said I was 52% gay something about "adventurous between the sheets, and open-mind in the streets!"

i'm 43% gay: i'm very open-minded between the sheets and just as much when out on the streets.

it must have been the question about lubricant that tipped the scales...

hi, Marc. sorry i didn't respond to your comment on my blog ages ago. i periodically get swept away and swept i have been. (nothing to do with sheets OR streets.) nevertheless, i was happy to hear from you.

it sounds like you are happy--i hope so. i've had a kind of rough year (longterm--10+ years--relationship and 2 friendships all collapse at once) but i have also been writing a fair bit and am getting ready to visit Haiti again, so there is balance. loving Thich Nhat Hanh as always. reading Don Quixote and Top 10 comics and Kathie Klarreich's book on her life in Haiti: Madam Dread. listening to Aaron Neville and India Arie and Boukman Eksperyans and Jennifer Berezan.

    keep well, friend.
